Because Bush’s appointed head of the Consumer Products Safety Commission can’t be bothered with keeping consumers safe.
Lou Dobbs is pretty pissed about the evil toys that have come out of China: “This — Nord, is she as imbecilic as she appears to be as absolutely insensitive to American consumers, as absolutely lacking the judgment to run a federal agency designed and created to protect the American consumer? I mean this woman is beyond belief!!” She claims all the toy recalls that have occurred show that the system is working. But then Lou wonders how many recalls her government agency initiated. The answer is zero. And if she could have, she would have prevented them all. Lou, my friend, business is a hell of a lot more important than a few unlucky, hating it kids. Wake up and smell the lead paint that metabolizes into the date-rape drug dude!
