Oprah’s School Headed to Trial
Last October a former matron at the Leadership Academy for Girls near Johannesburg, the school in Africa that Oprah founded, was charged with indecently assaulting minors, verbally abusing them and soliciting them to perform indecent acts. Reports alleged the matron or “dormitory parent” grabbed a girl by the throat and threw her against a wall. Ms Makgabo was accused of swearing and shouting at girls and fondling at least one pupil. Now a bit of light will be shed on this situation as a three day trial is scheduled to begin this week. Poor Oprah, the lady on EVERY cover of her magazine, has $40m into this school. Well as they say…no good deed goes unpunished…
