Obama’s Dali Lama Diss: An Indication of How Much Our Country Is Hating It in The Global Economy

The President is afraid that continuing an 18-year Presidential tradition of meeting with the Dali Lama to show support for Tibet might piss off China. So Obama decided to snub the guy. Oh, he’ll meet with Mr. Lama, but only after his trip to China.

The Chinese must really have this country by the balls, aye? After signing trade agreements that sent all of our manufacturing jobs overseas and filled China’s governmental coffers to the brim, our country has been forced to borrow from the Chinese to make up for all that middle-class tax revenue we lost from losing all those wage earners over here! It’s gotten so bad in fact, that our new hope-filled President best not piss off America’s credit card: The Chinese Express. An offense like that may invite a 1% increase in our interest rate. No small thing when you are dealing with Multi-Trillions.

It is all too clear that we are where we are because a critical mass of our politicians have been bought and paid for by multi-national corporations. And they have been for some time. So they have no loyalty whatsever to their actual contituents, i.e., middle class working American people.

Ok Obama, publicly diss the Dali Lama, but then also publicly acknowledge how this country has been royally dissed under our current trade agreements.

Fine, wait to get your picture taken with the Dali Lama until after your trip to our debtor (and master?) China.

But then at least tell it like it is put a stop to this so-called free trade! In the name of globalization, we have been feeding a monster and now the monster is too dangerous even to offend.

As a matter of national security, we’ve got to put back ALL the tariffs that those blasted agreements revoked. What did our country gain out of lowering our trade barriers? Take a look, Sherlock. It’s no wonder then that China remains highly protectionist with respect to its own imports. I guess free trade with China aint free, is it?

So Obama, if you won’t publicly stand with Tibet against China, then publicly stand with ordinary Americans for f@#k sake!

Tell the story of what happened to us since Reagan decided to declare war on the union movement. And when that didn’t keep our wages low enough, talk about how Bush Sr and Clinton came up with NAFTA and GATT to give corporations the freedom to roam the planet looking for the cheapest labor possible. Talk about how we went from the biggest lender nation to the biggest debtor nation after only 8 years of Reaganomics. Today we are ruled by multi-national monopolies which subvert our democracy. How different then is our current predicament from what we see in an undemocratic, communist state that controls all the means of production? Not much. Indeed, fascism (a corporate-run state) looks a hell of a lot like communism (where the state runs the corporations)…

Both governmental structures yield the same kleptocracy where product quality is low because of a lack of competition, where there are no opportunities for upward mobility, and where individual freedom is routinely trampled to advance the generally corrupt agenda of the ruling class.

And when you get to China, tell them we will be happy to repeal our newly re-imposed tariffs, as soon as they repeal all of their long standing ones!
